Dr. Steiner’s work on the professional will has been cited in the Wall Street Journal, a textbook entitled Skilled Empathy: Creating Safety through Therapeutic Attachment, (Gollnick, 2005), incorporated into the curriculum for FilmTx, a continuing education provider, published in The California Therapist. One of her articles, “The Empty Chair, Making our Absence Less Traumatic for Everyone” was published in The New Therapist, a South African journal distributed in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

Her contributions have been acknowledged by being invited to contribute articles to a wide range of prestigious publications, among them are:

  • Steiner, A. (2004, July/September). The therapist protection plan: Preparing for expected and unexpected absences from practice. The California Therapist.

Thanks Ann! I so appreciate your doing this work and plan to get some St. Louis colleagues interested. I started working on your Professional Will. It is fantastic. What a great service you are doing. Having the whole thing spelled out for me, with fields that I can just enter and update, makes it all seem doable. Thanks so much for doing this work!
