Meet Dr. Steiner
Dr. Steiner is a pioneer in the creation of comprehensive, affordable, do-it-yourself professional will systems that include plans for continuity of care for therapist’s expected and unexpected absences in the US and internationally. She has published over twenty articles, been cited in many additional publications, and since 1999, has spoken and taught about this important yet taboo topic of preparing for psychotherapist’s temporary illness, death, relocation, and retirement.
Her contributions to the field of group therapy have been acknowledged by her being honored as a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, was a founding member of the National Registry of Group Therapists, and is a Certified Group Therapist. She is a noted national and international speaker, workshop leader, author, consultant to therapists, and a highly respected psychotherapist. Her passion for teaching about the professional will has led her to become a frequent Law and Ethics workshop presenter and invited speaker nationally and internationally. In her private practice, she consults to therapists about therapy with individuals and couples; coaches therapists about completing their professional wills; and leads a therapy group for therapists.
